How and When to Use Temporary Tattoos

Temporary tattoos can be a great alternative for those who want to experiment with body art without the commitment of permanent ink. They are perfect for special occasions — such as festivals, bachelorette parties, or themed dress up events — but can also be used as everyday fashion statements. With so many designs available you’ll be sure to find something unique to show off your personal style!

Temporary tattoos come in a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes and make great additions to birthday parties, baby showers, weddings, school events, festivals, summer camps and more! They're also a popular choice for theme party decorations and promotional giveaways.

How to apply your temporary tattoos:

  • Ensure your skin is dry, and free from any oils and lotions.

  • Before starting, you will need a small bowl of water and a sponge or cloth.

  • Remove the plastic film from the tattoo sheet and place the paper pattern side down on the skin.

  • Wet your sponge and press the tattoo firmly against the skin for 30 seconds.

  • When ready the backing paper should slide away from the skin. If it doesn't slide away, hold for another 20 seconds.

How to make your temporary tattoos last longer:

  • Keep the skin away from any oils and creams. Sweat can also degrade your temporary tattoo quicker, so try placing in areas like the upper arm.

  • Don't allow clothing to rub against your tattoos, wear loose clothing if you can.

  • Consider where you place your tattoos, typically upper arm tattoos will last longer than on the wrist.

  • Temporary tattoos can survive baths and showers as long as you don't rub them, so bath time doesn't mean the end of your tattoos!
